Morocco as a country has got several divisions; regions or you may call them provinces.A number of these provinces are quite known and so popular unlike some others that are not that popular. Regions such as Agadir and Casablanca are quite popular and well known while others, like Al Hoceima and Khouribga are not that popular and are less visited. Conversely, they have got a lot to offer to tourists, therefore their less popularity does not mean that they have nothing to present. Cassablanca – The principal port of Morocco, Casablanca happens to be the largest city. Being a coastal city, the major port and the largest city makes it an absolutely fabulous area worth a visit.
Agadir - Situated on the shoreline of the great Atlantic Ocean, Agadir is a city in southwest Morocco and is near the foot of the Atlas Mountains.
Al Hoceima - This is a harbour in the Rif including its main city.
Essaouira – This is a city and also happens to be a tourist resort in Morocco. You cannot afford to miss it. It’s just found near Marrakesh.
Fez – This poses as the third largest city in Morocco. It follows just after the two largest cities of Casablanca and Rabat.
Kenitra - Previously known as Port Lyautey, this is yet another beautiful town of Morocco. It is a port on the famous Sebou River.
Tiznit - In southern Morocco, there lies this city of Tiznit.
Meknes – Found in Northern Morocco, Meknes is about 120 km from Rabat and is also60 km from Fez.
Ouarzazate - A city located in mid Morocco, and this particular city happens to be the host for the largest movie studio in the whole world.
Marrakesh – This is a city found in the south-western part Morocco just at base of the famous Atlas Mountains.
Oujda - A city in the eastern part of Morocco, Ouida has got a population of 500 000 residents.
Rabat – This happens to be the governmental or political capital of Morocco.
Tangier - Tangier is a city situated in the northern part Morocco and has got a populace of 350,000 people.
Tan-Tan – Found in the province of Tan-Tan, this is a town in Morocco.
Tetouan - With a population of 320 000 citizens, Tetouan is the capital and also happens to be the cultural centre of the province of Tanga.
Khouribga - This Khourigba area is mainly known for being a metropolitan area rich in Phosphates.
Laayoune – The biggest city in the Western Sahara, Laayoune boasts a population of around 197,200 human beings and is a place that deserves a visit.
