Mikumi Wild life camp- at the centre of Mikumi National Park, just 300 metres from the main East –West Tanzania highway is where Mikumi wildlife camp is located. This camp is also known as Kikioboga and it has commanding view as across the mkata flood plains. The camp is within easy reach of some of the more interesting areas of the park like the hippo pools.

Spread on a grassy field, are the 12 very comfortable large stones and thatch bandas which zebra, impala and other antelopes frequent. The two family rooms have got 2 rooms with the ability to sleep 6 offering good value for families and groups. The communal areas are special at the camp with the bar and restaurant set under a huge fig tree overlooking two water holes which are normally busy with game.

There is also a small sun deck around a swimming pool and an observation tower at the plain. It should be noted also that although by special arrangement visitors can take a walking safari to the source of the Kikobog river, the camp concentrates primarily on game drives.

Despite the fact that this lodge experiences a rumble of tracks, the animal concentrations, service and its general setting keep it as a popular option with clients and they really like it.

Foxes safari camp; this camp is attractively set on a granite outcrop overlooking the Mwanambogo waterhole and Mkapa flood plain in a good wildlife viewing area in Muikumi’s far North. It is a luxury tented camp in Mikumi National Park which is operated by the fox and is believed to have an experience of 40 years in the Tanzanian Tourism Industry.

Only 8 large thatche custom-built tents. The tents are ensuite and they all have two double beds. Every tent is hidden amongst the kopjes and on the Kpje top is the main dining boma and kbar. Because of the fact that this camp is 14km from the main road, ti is believe that traffic noise is not problem like at some of the other camps in Mikuni and even still, game sighting is of a high standard. This therefore makes people think that this is the only camp in the park that provides a true bush experience.
