Manyara tour Holiday
Lake Manyara ecosystem:
Guests can enter and exit Lake Manyara National Park through only one entrance for it is the only one that it has. When entering the park, guests are welcomed by an over whelming amount of luscious green trees with plenty of canopy and enough light piercing through the trees to see baboons scamper away from the main track. Here, the atmosphere is that of rain forest with tall trees and diverse vegetation types such as wild fig and savage trees. Blue monkeys are the other mammals that can be spotted around the forest.
Getting to the Mahai Ya Nyata (place of Buffalo) necessitates crossing over the Marera River Bridgde and bearing a left. Here, vegetation has turned to scattered grassland with yellow fever, wild mango trees as well as palm. Animals like Zebras, giraffes and impalas are commonly spotted around this area.
When you go on to the left loop, you will be led to the Hippo pool which provides guests with the opportunity of viewing and photography the hippos that are normally submerged in water or enjoy the sunshine.
Going further along the extension and joining the main track, Travel to Tanzania guests would have passed the Mkindu and Msasa Rivers, which attract and support a diverse bird species such as the horn bills, pelicans, flamingoes, and Egyptian geese. It is important to note that Lake Manyara National Park attract s the lesser and greater flamingoes because it is a soda ash lake.
Guests will realize a change in vegetation with a mixture of savannah grassland, shrubs and acacia trees as they continue on the main road track in Lake Manyara. The flat top acacia trees has become a strange phenomenon for the lions of Manyara that rest in it during the heat of the day.
You will be led to the maji moto Hot sulphur springs if you continue further down the road and pass additional rivers. Your guides would usually lead you out to see the spring up close gushing from the bed rock emitting a slight odor. Here, you can test an egg to view how fast it boils or spot the hot vapours being emitted. Guests are likely to view some gray volcanic rocks mounted on each other with a klipspringer standing on it, if they continue placing their body posture towards the direction they were driving. The rocks and antelope resemble in colour hence creating a perfect camouflage to the extent that a predator would be unable to tell the difference unless it has a strong sight.
Guests are also likely to spot a big herd of elephant parading across the tracks, if they continue the journey further inside towards the Lake Manyara tree lodge. The elephants began dispersal with some young calves rushing through the bushes to collide with other elephants creating a comical relief for brief moment, as soon as the heard the sound of a humming engine from our vehicle which is an encroachment of their rights.
Lake manyara tee lodge is the only accommodation inside the park and guests who stay here, can have an impressive experience as they continue watching wildlife walk through the lodge grounds from an elevation and comfort of their balcony.
