Kenya is second largest East African country after Tanzania, her neighbour on the Southern end. Kenya borders with the Indian Ocean on the South Eastern side, Somalia in the East, Ethiopia in the North, Sudan in the North-West and Uganda in the West. Kenya also shares Lake Victoria, the largest water body on the Africa. The Capital of Kenya is Nairobi, which is located in the central part of the country. Kenya is a multi ethnic country but all people are unified by one language, Swahili. This is a dialect that developed from the cost during the days of the Arab traders. It is in fact a combination of Arabic and the indigenous Bantu languages in East Africa. The government is perceived to a bigger extent as investment friendly and in comparison to its neighbours, Kenya has got a well developed social and physical infrastructure. The country is generally perceived as Eastern and central Africa's centre for financial services. The economy of Kenya is majorly market-based containing just a few government enterprises and the country maintains a liberalized external trade system.
The tourism sector of Kenya is one of the most flourishing in the East Africa region and Kenya has over the years proved to be a world class destination for a number of the world’s most famous people. The most notable one being the famous football manager Jose Mourinho, in June 2010, who was in Kenya with his family for a holiday. Tourism in Kenya contributes a big chunk of the GDP and is the number one in the services industry. Kenya has got wonderful travel destinations, mainly National parks and Game reserves, which are a great source of pride to the tourism sector and the entire Kenyan government. The most famous of all these is the Maasai Mara found in south western Kenya. It is considered to be a northern continuation of Serengeti in Tanzania and covers a large stretch of savannah grassland, shrubs and other great flora population. The Masai Mara game reserve is home to a host of animals like zebras, big cats, gazelle and is also famous for the annual migration of wildebeest from the Tanzania National park of Serengeti between the months of July and October every year in what has come to be known as the great migration. Kenya is highly regarded as the home of greatest Africa safaris.
