Arusha Wildlife Safari Tanzania

Wildlife
The park constitutes a variety of resident population of plant eaters, primates and predators involving black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, leopards, hyenas, waterbucks, wartlogs and a broad range of antelope species. There are no Lions in the park although you can view leopards if you have luck.

If you want to move on the Meru mountain (4566m) portion of the park through a diverse of land scapes, plains, forest moorlands and a larva desert, it is obligatory to be escorted by an armed game warden due to the wild animals. From the peak of Meru mountain you will have an interesting spot of the crater and of the eruption core 3000 metres below.

Arusha national park is popular because of its 400 species of bird life, both moving and resident for example red sharks, hamerkops, spurwinged gooses, herons, wood peakers, grey parrots, secretary birds and the others. The Momela lakes provide a lot of bird watching chances.

The flora and fauna changes with the topography, which ranges from forest to swamp. The finest time for touring is during the dry season which goes from July to march. The finest months to climb Meru mountain are June to February (Asbeit these are some rains in November). On clear days, splendid views of Kilimanjaro mountain and mountain Meru can be viewed from almost any part of the park. The finest spots of Kilimanjaro are from December to February
